At Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) we are committed to our vision of being a world leader in growth, quality, and value in the pulse industry. Part of how we aim to achieve this is by supporting the next generation of agriculture and pulse research in Saskatchewan through our scholarship program.

Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) recognizes the need to foster interest in pulse research. To achieve this, SPG established two graduate scholarships to be awarded to students pursuing pulse research at the University of Saskatchewan. The Don Jaques Memorial Fellowship is named after the first Executive Director of SPG, and the A. E. Slinkard Scholarship recognizes the pioneering work of Dr. Slinkard in pulse crop research and industry development.
Saskatchewan Pulse Growers (SPG) has a scholarship program for undergraduate students. Each spring SPG awards five undergraduate scholarships to first-year students enrolled in the fall in a Saskatchewan-based post-secondary agriculture program. To be eligible for one of these scholarships the student or the student’s parent(s) must be an active pulse producer in Saskatchewan (i.e. he/she has sold a Saskatchewan-grown pulse crop in the last two crop years).
The 2017 undergraduate scholarship program is now accepting applications. For details on elegibility and selection criteria, as well as to apply, please click on the documents below.
