Temporary Foreign Worker Agricultural Labour Recruitment Mission

December 10, 2015

10:00 AM-12:00 PM

Saskatchewan producers are invited to participate in the recruitment of prospective candidates with agricultural experience for the upcoming production season.

The Ministry of Economy is working with the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, Mexico to facilitate a virtual labour recruitment mission for the 2016 Agricultural production season.  The recruitment mission will not involve travel to Mexico to participate.

The Ministry of Economy is committed to addressing constraints to sustainable growth of the agricultural sector. The availability of labour has been identified as one of those constraints affecting agricultural producers in Saskatchewan.

Saskatchewan producers are invited to participate as part of a delegation involved in the recruitment of prospective candidates with agricultural experience to fill immediate vacancies for the upcoming production season. The session will provide information on the process, next steps, timelines and available supports.

Information sessions will be available on the following dates and locations:

Saskatoon: December 10, 2015
10:00 AM-12:00 PM
Saskatoon Cosmo Centre – Room A&B
3130 Laurier Drive, Saskatoon

Interested producers are asked to confirm attendance no later than 3:00 PM on Monday, December 7, 2015 by emailing gisele.mccarthy@gov.sk.ca
