Reduction to Lentil Tariffs in India

India’s Ministry of Finance has announced that they will be reducing the base import tariff on lentils during the period from June 2 to August 31, 2020.

India’s Ministry of Finance has announced that they will be reducing the base import tariff on lentils during the period from June 2 to August 31, 2020.

  • During June 2, 2020 to August 31, 2020, the base customs duty rate for lentils imported from any country other than the United States will be reduced from 30% to 10%.
  • During June 2, 2020 to August 31, 2020, the base customs duty rate for imported lentils originating in or exported from the United States will be reduced from 50% to 30%.
