Tenders are invited for non-exclusive license to produce in Saskatchewan, process in Canada, and market worldwide the red cotyledon pea Redbat 8, Redbat 88.
If the decision to tender is made, all tender submissions must include the following information:
- Business history
- A Saskatchewan-based production plan
- Plan to maintain a closed-loop system
- A Canadian processing plan
- A global marketing plan
- Proposed value chain and indication of how the added value potential will be shared with the members of the chain
Commercialization rights will be awarded based on a realistic business plan to produce, process and market the peas, and the ability to protect the IP associated with this market class. There will be no royalty or fee associated with the license other than the mandatory levy payable on the harvested grain.
Saskatchewan Pulse Growers reserves the right to reject any or all tenders and to negotiate the terms of an agreement with any proponent.
