Objective
To build a set of molecular tools and integrate them with available genetic resources to provide greater precision in the evaluation of breeding populations, thereby facilitating the rapid development of improved chickpea cultivars.
Outcome
This research identified a number of markers associated with important traits in chickpea, which will be used to assist in the selection process within the Crop Development (CDC) chickpea breeding program.
