New Crop Options: Soybeans - Video

Soybeans are promising for Saskatchewan, in that they can be a relatively easy crop to grow, are suited to wetter conditions, and the markets are well established.

Currently, Dr. Tom Warkentin, a plant breeder with the Crop Development Centre at the University of SAskatchewan is working on developing a soybean variety that is suited to Saskatchewan's shorter growing season.
