Pulse Research Webinar: Assessing the Sustainability of Pulse Crop Intensified Cropping Systems
November 22, 2022
The type and frequency of pulse crops in rotations affect production, yield stability, disease, soil health, carbon footprint, and economic returns. A systems approach is used to assess the performance of pulse crop intensified cropping systems in the semi-arid region of the Canadian Prairies.
Speaker: Dr. Kui Liu is a research scientist at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC). He conducts collaborative studies with researchers from research institutes, universities, and industries at regional and national levels. As an agronomist, Dr. Liu's research focuses on developing management practices that improve yield, resource use efficiency, and the resilience of cropping systems.
