Demonstration of biological enhancements in pulses

Trials were successfully grown at seven locations throughout the province in 2023. No differences were observed in any agronomic measurements, including yield, plant biomass, seed quality, or plant maturity, between the nine biological enhancing products and the untreated control at any of the seven sites. The lack of response may be due to high indigenous soil populations of Rhizobium leguminosarum at each site and/or hot, dry conditions during the growing season, but this has not been confirmed.
