Overview

Agronomy Research Update 2025 is bringing you the latest agronomic research in the industry in 2025.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is excited to bring you another year of Agronomy Research Update, offered both in-person and online! Agronomists, producers, industry and retail attendees will have the opportunity to learn about what happened in the 2025 growing season and the potential impact in 2026, as well as the latest research impacting crop production in the province. There will be a variety of experts speaking with focused sessions on disease, soils, herbicides, and insects over the two days.

How does Agronomy Research Update Work?

Agronomy Research Update is a two-day event scheduled to take place at TCU Place in Saskatoon on December 10 and 11, 2025. Each day has different topics and speakers, so attendees are highly encouraged to attend both days. Agronomy Research Update features presentations from provincial specialists, researchers, panel discussions, and networking breaks. Recordings of the presentations will be sent to all participants after the event. Additionally, there will be a resource area with technical information, displays, handouts, and the Ministry of Agriculture’s Agri-Environmental and Agriculture Programs Specialists. Lunch and snacks are provided each day for in-person participants, with coffee and tea available each morning. In-person participants will also recieve a copy of the latest edition of Diseases of Field Crops in Canada at the end of Agronomy Research Update. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are pending for this event, and CEU information will be added to the registration page if approved. In the meantime, you can sign up for Sask Ag Now and check out crops related publications on our website.

Who organizes and runs Agronomy Research Update?

Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture’s Crops Extension Specialist (CES) team plans and runs Agronomy Research Update. CES are located in ten regional offices across the province that you can reach out to for unbiased agronomic information on crop management and for the latest updates on extension meetings in your area.
