Overview

Grade School is an opportunity for producers to watch in-person grading demonstrations for wheat, barley, lentils, chickpeas, flax, and canola.

Canadian Grain Commission (CGC) representatives will discuss common grading issues for each crop and answer any questions producers may have. In addition, they will be showing producers how to collect a representative sample of grain and the benefits of utilizing programs such as the Harvest Sample Program* and Final Quality Determination. Grade School will give you the knowledge of how to better negotiate at the local elevator and more.

CCA credits available.

This is a joint event hosted by the Canadian Grain Commission in collaboration with SaskBarley, SaskOilseeds, Saskatchewan Pulse Growers, and Sask Wheat.

*The Canada Post labour disruption is causing mail delays for the Harvest Sample Program. Producers may drop off their samples at one of several drop-off locations or at any Grade School event. Grading results will be shared directly with producers once they are available. Producers may also choose to keep their samples until the disruption is over.
