The Canadian Root Rot Task Force (RRTF) is seeking experts in the biological, chemical, plant sciences, or food industry to participate in a global call for innovative solutions to combat root rot in field peas and lentils.

The RRTF seek projects to mitigate and eradicate root rot complex, including Fusarium spp., Pythium, Rhizoctonia, and Aphanomyces eutieches, significantly threatening Canada’s $1.3 billion pea and lentil industry.

The RRTF, comprising Saskatchewan Pulse Growers, Alberta Pulse Growers, Manitoba Pulse and Soybean Growers crop commissions, and the Canadian pulse industry, has exhausted current solutions and now seek external expertise to provide innovative technologies, products, or practices.
