To evaluate the use of high levels of peas in diets for growing-finishing and lactating swine in a commercial setting as well as identifying any issues that may arise at the feed mill level.
In growing-finishing and in lactating sows the effect of including 40% and 30% peas respectively did not adversely affect feed intake, growth or feed efficiency and may lead to cleaner pens in a semi-slatted grow-finish barn.
