This project aims to demonstrate the value of new low vicine/convicine (LVC) faba bean varieties by showcasing their agronomic advantages and emphasizing the importance of maintaining genetic purity for marketability. The project will evaluate key traits such as yield, maturity, height, lodging, and outcrossing effects, using year-one seed to demonstrate the impact of potential LVC contamination in year two.
