Our Purpose

To provide leadership and create opportunities for profitable growth for Saskatchewan pulses.

When you work at SPG, you are working on behalf of the over 15,000 pulse farmers in Saskatchewan. As a team we strive to make the industry more innovative, sustainable, and profitable for producers and the local economy. SPG carries out work in the areas of research and development, agronomy extension, market development, grower communications, and market access and advocacy.

Our Culture

Our team members are empowered to lead work in their respective areas of expertise with support and encouragement from leaders. Employees at all levels lead the development of annual workplans and are accountable for the execution of that work. As a relatively small organization, SPG can be nimble and flexible to adapt and change. Employees say that they have a clear line of sight to how their work has a direct impact for farmers.

The main pillars to SPG’s culture include:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

At SPG, we see diversity as an asset and strive to make our work and our organization inclusive.

We know that a diverse mix of thinking, backgrounds, and experiences brings innovation and sustainability to Saskatchewan’s pulse growers.

While we have more work to do to advance diversity and inclusion, we will continue to move forward to a more equitable organization.

SPG is committed to ensuring equal opportunities and an inclusive environment where everyone feels they can bring their whole self to work.
