Research Objective
To associate variable levels of Aphanomyces (root rot) resistance in pea germplasm with digital imagery phenotypes image data collective via unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); to associate variable levels of canopy temperature depression (associated with heat and drought tolerance in pea using digital phenotyping of UAV collected crop imagery that will lead to selecting advanced pea germplasm that sustain yield under heat and drought stress due to climate change; to associate variable levels of harvest index in early generation pea genotypes to increase the rate of gain in pea yield that will lead to greater field pea yields and greater levels of carbon fixation.
